How Prepared Am I for a Blackout?

Imagine waking up and the power is out. No Wi-Fi.
No charging. No lights. Could you handle a day
without electricity? We’re inviting Generation Z
(aged 14-29) to explore what life would look like
during a blackout. Grab your phone or camera
and submit a short video sharing your ideas on how to strengthen energy resilience in daily life.

Think about:

How would your daily routine change?
How prepared are you really?
What would be most challenging?
What practical tools, strategies, or habits could make you more energy-resilient?
What could schools, communities, or governments do to better prepare us for power outages?

Prize

First Prize: 300 EUR
People’s Choice Award: 200 EUR
Small gifts for the TOP 5 entries
Winners will be announced by 30th September 2026

Requirements

Participants must be nationals of NATO member or active partner nations, or affiliated with an educational institution in these countries, aged 14–29.
Videos must be in English (or include English subtitles/translation).
Video length: 3–14 minutes.
Submissions must be original work; group submissions are allowed.
By submitting, participants allow the organizer to use the video for promotional purposes.
Videos must not contain offensive or harmful content; violations lead to disqualification.
