On 13 May, the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence welcomed a 21-member Swedish delegation initiated by Länstryrelsen Västerbotten and Region Västerbotten, coordinated by Carl Wangel and Tobhias Wikstrom, representing both public and private energy-sector stakeholders for a strategic exchange on energy resilience and dual-use energy systems. The visit included a presentation of NATO ENSEC COE activities and ongoing initiatives, with a particular focus on the FORTE Conference, TTX CORE 26, the ARTIC project, e-fuel developments, and the Energy Dominance wargame projects. This was followed by a round-table discussion with Centre representatives addressing the strengthening of resilient energy systems, the role of businesses and regional actors, the added value of wargaming dual-use energy supply chains, the future relevance of e-fuels, the value of decentralized energy systems, and opportunities for continued cooperation and knowledge exchange between Swedish stakeholders and NATO partners.
