Last week NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence (ENSEC COE) had the privilege of engaging with a delegation of trainees from the Netherlands Ministry of Defence during their study visit to Lithuania.
The visit formed part of the concluding phase of the trainees’ two-year programme and focused on understanding policymaking in Lithuania’s complex security environment as a NATO frontline state. Discussions addressed key elements of threat landscape, including military, hybrid, and cyber dimensions, as well as energy security, civil-military cooperation, and NATO-EU coordination.
As a hub for multinational expertise, NATO ENSEC COE provided insights into the strategic role of energy security in strengthening national and collective resilience. The exchange underscored the importance of international cooperation and the translation of strategic objectives into operational practice.
